Bats will emerge.

Tonight is a perfect night to be outside. Humidity…absent. temp, warm and breezy. I decided to go see the nightly emergence of the Mexican short tailed bats. They come out around dusk in a whirling vortex. It’s like the famous bridge in Austin, just smaller. With fewer watchers.

Initially, I walked under the bridge. This was nervous for me because bats tend to void themselves prior to their night flight. But, I did want to see if I could spot any of them underneath.  I was immediately struck by the smell of the guano!  Time to exit stage left.
